The data gathered for this study was obtained from one to one interview with 400 households in Kucuk Cekmece district of Istanbul. Sample size of the study was determined with Unclustered Probability Sampling Method. The secondary data showed that Per capita consumption of beef and veal meat was 4.5 kg, sheep and goat meat consumption was 4.5 kg, poultry meat consumption was 16 kg and fish meat consumption was 10 kg in Turkey
